What Our Customers Say

Dealing with Classic Pianos was simply amazing. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Lamar. Lamar is gracious, patient, professional, very knowledgeable, kind and incredibly helpful. He went out of his way to ensure that my daughter … More and I have a great experience and helped us pick the right piano for my daughter and got it delivered in time. Everything went very smoothly as planned and we are very grateful and thankful for the excellent service. Whenever we think of buying any future pianos, it is definitely going to be Classic Pianos. Thank you, Lamar and Classic Pianos.

What a fantastic experience we had with salesman Lamar and James (explaining piano app details), also financing person Connie was very nice.Amazing selection and high end/white glove service.
  • william snell ★★★★★ a month ago
Wonderful experience with Ben and Connie. Great background information from Ben. Played several different brands of pianos and selected a new Yamaha S5X. No high pressure.
  • Jamshed Damkewala ★★★★★ a month ago
Just bought our first piano, we were helped by Lamar who was awesome. Some of the models are back ordered so we were offered a free loaner until our selection arrived, though we eventually decided to go with another model that was available … More immediately. Even threw in free headphones. The best part I thought was the ability to trade in with no depreciation for 2 years.

A Class ActBuying an acoustic piano is even more daunting than buying a car! It’s typically a once in a lifetime experience. Classic Pianos, especially our salesperson, James Han, created an exceptional experience before, during and after.Classic’s … More ads on CraigsList made it easy to track when new options for used pianos arrived. When I saw a used Steinway upright, my husband and I headed to the store where we met James Han. He welcomed us, answered our questions, encouraged me to play any piano, and then left us alone to try some instruments. The Steinway wasn’t the piano for me. James offered to keep an eye out for a used upright with a rich tone.A month later, when I responded to an ad for a top-of-the-line Schimmel upright, James recognized us and managed to juggle multiple customers while giving us his full attention when we needed it. When the Schimmel didn’t call to me, my husband suggested I try a grand piano. Talk about being a kid in a candy store! With their stunning craftsmanship, the Estonia pianos immediately caught my eye. And then I played one. We were hooked. James gave us a paper template for a grand piano to make sure it would fit in our house. We became the proud owners of an Estonia concert grand. A piano that will challenge and support me every day.Classic’s people and policies conspire to create a stellar experience. Everyone we met was generous with their time and knowledge. They clearly love what they do. They put us in touch with a financial institution that specializes in pianos, arranged moving the Estonia to our house, and storage for my old Estey. When an unprecedented traffic accident destroyed the Estey (See Martinson Piano Moving Review), James was the one who broke the news with compassion and honesty. Both Classic and Martinson Piano Moving were terrific in making the best of a bad situation and committed to providing the recipient with an equivalent piano.James continues to be generous with his time, talent, and knowledge. Since he is also a piano tuner, we’ve been fortunate to have him over to tune the new Estonia piano and continue to patiently answer our questions. What a treat! If you are considering buying a piano, Classic Pianos, through great people like James Han, will welcome you without pressure, help you choose and purchase an instrument, and support you as you make friends with it. I wish you as fabulous an experience as I’ve had.

Classic Pianos has a great selection of pianos that I could choose from. It was a great experience and I am very happy with the purchase!James Han was the person to greet me as soon as I walked into the store. He was very polite and kind, … More and made me feel welcome! I honestly did not know what I was looking for, as I just came up with the idea of getting a piano a few days earlier, and that’s it. I told James that I was a beginner and I was not sure what to start with. He quickly showed me several pianos both upright and grand, new and used, with different brands available in the showroom. He was very knowledgeable about all the brands and the mechanics of the pianos. He even pointed out each piano’s country of origin, the material of the components, and whether they were good or not. He gave me some explanations of hand made piano, and machine made ones. He played different pianos for me to compare the tone and volume. He also demonstrated the difference in keyboard reaction between upright and grand, so that I could make sound decisions on what type of piano I should be getting, even as a beginner. After checking out many pianos, I have narrowed down to a few options. After I told James I preferred a brand new piano, but not willing to wait for several months or even longer for the piano to be built, he quickly looked into the inventory and located a few brand new pianos that might work for me. He also tried to get me the best deals possible so I could take the quotes back home to further discuss with my family. The following days James was off work, but he understood that I was in a hurry to get a piano, he even attended to my inquiries and coordinated with the store manager in finalizing the order. He asked Connie Kaelin to help me with the deposit and everything else in the meantime. Connie was great too and even tried her best to get me a picture of the piano in the box (which I respectfully requested) and provided me with the information needed for my insurance agent.James has been awesome in helping me out, from the moment I talked to him, until the purchase was completed. He was honest and sincere, as he did pointed out a few pianos that he would not recommend to me due to various reasons. I could tell that he really wanted to help me choose the right piano. When I asked him to provide the valuation letter so I could give it to my insurance agent, he did it right away and mailed it to me within an hour I sent him the email request. He was very helpful and efficient in getting the work done. He also cared about if I were getting the right piano for myself. He also provided piano teachers’ contact information so that I could start my journey with the piano. The piano was delivered a week ago, and I just can’t take my eyes off it!I have so many nice things to say about James and the store, but I won’t be able to put everything here in writing. I just want to say “thank you” to James, for his help.I do recommend whoever is in the market of getting a piano to talk to James, as he can definitely make sure you are getting the right piano for you. And you can count on him!

I went to every piano store in King County multiple times looking for the right piano for me. I found it at Classic Pianos, but I also found the most friendly/helpful staff and service. James Han at Classic Pianos helped me over several … More visits and many emails to find the right piano. Classic Pianos included a couple of tunings with my purchase, and even provided an extra after delivery because of how far out it was. I would highly recommend Classic Pianos
