The Perfect Piano

“A professor of piano at the University of Washington School of Music recommended Ben Klinger at Classic Pianos when  I was in the market for a piano. I contacted Ben and let him know what I was looking for.  He invited me to the Classic Pianos store to try some pianos that he thought would meet my needs.  Thanks to his piano expertise and understanding of what I wanted in a piano, I found a beautiful Schimmel with a rich, warm sound and  excellent touch.  I have loved playing this piano ever since.  I am thankful that Classic Pianos was recommended to me and would unreservedly recommend them to anyone searching for the perfect piano.”

Knowledgeable and Patient

“We bought a Yamaha GC1 here and have been very happy with the purchase.  I made a couple of visits before buying and got to know many of the people who work here.  They were all knowledgable and patient, let me take my time playing lots of pianos and helped me figure out the right one for our family.  They really made sure that I was happy with the piano and gladly made adjustments to get it sounding just right.  I’m hoping to upgrade to a larger piano in a few years and will happily return when the time comes.”

Best in the Region

“The selection of pianos at this store is the best in the region.  Not only is it the only store where you can find the most current Yamaha grands (the X series), but they also have several European and American brands.  The difference is that they are incredibly selective in accepting only good-condition used pianos, as well as showcasing new pianos.

I can’t say enough about how good of an experience I had the people at Classic Pianos during this almost 1 year process of finding a piano.”

Expectations Exceeded

“Shopping at Classic Pianos exceeded our expectations!  We were interested in an upright piano and Ben was attentive and guided us through the different options.  The showroom was stocked with multiple pianos to choose from and to play.  We chose a Yamaha B3 at an affordable price and we couldn’t be happier.  Highly recommended!”

Service to Our Community

“I would like to add that more important than their good service and their good prices, I think Classic Pianos is playing an important role in keeping the flame alive. I am talking about keeping the music alive and giving our children the chance to discover how great music is and how beautiful pianos can sound. By making awesome pianos affordable, by taking the time to educate their clients, Classic Pianos is doing a great service to our music community.”

Zero Pressure

“We had no idea where to start with buying a piano suitable for a beginner and Haidi Yang took such great care of us and helped us select a beautiful piano. She offered a demonstration on the various types and went over all of the pros and cons for different models. After the purchase was made, she gave us a list of recommended piano teachers in our area that are effective at teaching young beginners. Our experience from beginning to end was pleasant, relaxed, and we felt zero pressure to buy anything. I highly recommend Classic Pianos if you are looking to invest in a piano.”

I bought my Yamaha NU1X from here and I’m super happy I did. Big thanks to James, Hui, and the rest of the team for making the process extremely smooth. I was able to test out many different models in-store, with excellent guidance from … More the knowledgeable staff. Once I made my decision and purchased the piano, the delivery process was quick and easy, and before I knew it my piano was all ready to go in my apartment.
In my experience, everybody here was invested in making sure I found the right instrument for me. I absolutely love my new piano, and I’m extremely grateful for all the help I had finding it.
If you have any piano-related problems I highly recommended checking these folks out. 💯

I was recently looking for a digital piano and bought it here (Yamaha CLP-885).The salespeople were patient and knowledgeable. For example, it was my first time properly evaluating an upright piano, and they were able to explain the difference … More in the key action. (I think they even have a model figurine of each key action in the store for educational purposes.)The floor selection for digital pianos was much wider than other stores I tried, so I was able to try the CLP-875 and CLP-885 next to each other (and other models as well), which was critical for my decision (see later).I believe the digital pianos sold here are exclusively Yamaha. I also went to Northwest Pianos nearby, where I recall that their digital piano selection was smaller and exclusively Casio (which feel more like toys than instruments 👀).They seemed to have an extensive acoustic piano selection here as well, but I didn't evaluate the acoustic pianos other than to compare the digital vs acoustic key actions. They also had a silenced/hybrid acoustic piano here. I was unaware of the existence of this kind of piano, and I appreciate being able to evaluate it, although I decided against it due to the upright key action. The pianos are delivered with a white-glove piano delivery/moving service. I ordered my piano on July 21 and received it at my home on August 12.---Regarding CLP-875 vs CLP-885, it seems like the key action is subtly different, but noticeable for certain patterns and styles of music. With my previous digital keyboard, I noticed that I would quickly get fatigued trying to execute repeated fast arpeggios. I tried alternating between the CLP-875 and CLP-885 models (right next to each other in the store) trying arpeggios, and found the 885 to be less fatiguing. This is possibly due to the 885 having counterweighted keys and a greater degree of dynamic vs static resistance. I didn't know that beforehand, and actually wouldn't have known to look for a difference or compare the key actions in this way. I only happened to feel a small difference when comparing the floor models in the store, and then investigated further.Note: The actual floor models at this location might have been CLP-775 vs CLP-785 at the time I was there, rather than the 875/885.

I went to Classic Pianos for my second piano purchase from them. I worked with James Han. I explained that I was looking for a particular sound out of a piano and for a few accessories. James was so patient and knowledgeable; after listening … More to me, he pointed me right to the piano that solved all my problems. I traded in my former piano seamlessly and now have my new Schimmel. Working with James was a dream, and it is clear that Classic Pianos takes its customers and their business very seriously. They are one of the finest companies I've ever worked with. Highly, highly recommend.

I recently purchased a Yamaha U1 upright piano for my daughter from Classic Piano in Bellevue, and I had an excellent experience. James Han was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, guiding us through various options to find the perfect … More piano. He was not pushy at all and gave us the space we needed to make an informed decision.
The Yamaha U1 we chose is fantastic, with superb sound quality that fits perfectly in our home. The delivery and setup were smooth and professional, reflecting the high standards of Classic Pianos' team.
If you're looking for a high-quality piano and exceptional customer service, I highly recommend Classic Pianos. James made the whole process enjoyable and stress-free, helping us find the perfect piano for our daughter.

I bought a Yamaha Baby Grand Piano about 6 months ago from Classic Piano in Bellevue. Luckily got James Han as our salesman. Turned out he’s also a tuner. Didn’t get to interact much with him from the sale since I purchased the piano … More over the phone. But he recently came by to do the tune up after the piano acclimated and I had a chance to meet him in person. He’s very professional and knowledgeable. He carefully took time to tune my piano and made sure everything works properly. This is my first grand piano and I didn’t know how to care for it. He did an amazing job of following up for post purchase and setting up for my tune up. I highly recommend James Han!

Unbeatable Prices

“I have the chance to meet with both Fred and John on my multiple visits to the store.  They are very patient and helpful with my piano search even though I have a modest budget.  Their prices on the new pianos are unbeatable.  I found same model of used Yamaha from craigslist cost the same as what they quoted me for a NEW one.  They also have a big show room with the finest hand-made big name American/European pianos.”

Dedicated

“I needed a reliable in-tune piano on a shoestring budget… The staff are courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Their policy allows you to trade-in a purchased instrument within two years at full value toward an upgrade — which tells you that they are sincerely dedicated to providing quality pianos for any household. It’s worth a visit just to look at the beautiful array of instruments they have in their showrooms. I would do business with Classic Pianos again.”

Stellar Delivery

“So far we’ve had good experience with Classic Pianos, especially with Heidi who told us of a great used piano that they had in stock and in which we jumped all over it. They were able to work with us and came down in price to meet our budget and got us a beautiful piano.

Delivery was stellar and we have yet to cash in on our one free tuning but I don’t expect any issues. The delivery guys were super knowledgeable and you can tell that they are really passionate about pianos (even if they don’t play!) If you’re looking for a piano, talk to Heidi!”

High Quality

“I was looking for a high quality piano, and I emailed from their online form to ask what they had in their inventory. Ben Klinger emailed me back with the information of some pianos they had to find out what kind of piano I was looking for. … He also suggested many pianos in the showroom to help me find what kind of piano I would really love. …
I am very satisfied with the piano and all the services I have received from Classic Pianos. If you are looking for a piano, you won’t go wrong to start checking their inventory.”
